(ACN 142 646 437) (“Brokers Carbon”) and Brokerscarbon.com (“the Website”) (collectively “we”) are committed to protecting the privacy and security of all of our users of the Website. This Privacy Policy sets forth how the Website collects and uses personal and project information. By using this Website, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted our privacy practices set forth below.

If you do not accept our privacy practices, then you should not continue to use this Website. This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into and forms part of our User Agreement.

1. CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect personally identifiable information, project information, and other sensitive data sent to our Website, both during transmission and afterwards. We utilize a password-protected Website to protect the personal information and other data that you upload to our Website, and a secure payment gateway for credit card transactions. We also encrypt all credit card information using SSL technology for storage within the processor’s bank-grade data center, and require all buyers, consultants, and other subscribers (“Members”) having access to personal and project information to agree to maintain the confidentiality of such information.

2. INFORMATION WE WILL COLLECT

When you register an account with us, we may collect personal information from you. You must provide contact information (such as your name, email address, and business or home address), and you will be asked to provide financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date, and 3 digit security code). We may also collect personal information from you if you place an order for an e-book or sign up for a subscription, including but not limited to your contact information and credit card information. We may collect and store e-mail and other correspondence from you too, particularly as it relates to sales and support matters.

If you are a seller who lists a project with us or takes out a directory listing with us, you must provide your contact information for upload to the Member-only areas of the Website, and we may also require you to list specific project-based information such as the country of origin, supporting documentation, and any third party registry details. In addition, we may collect other general data and information about your projects for marketing purposes, which you will upload into both the Member-only areas and general public-user areas of the Website, such as project type, carbon standard, volume, pictures, and indicative pricing.

We may collect the IP address of your computer in order to enable us to detect unauthorized transactions and to better manage website traffic. We may also collect such information as the date and time of your visit, your geographical location, the pages you visit, your operating system, your browser, and the previous website you visited.

We may also use “cookies,” which are small data files placed and stored on your computer, to help you manage your use of our Website. Cookies are used as follows:

We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. In furtherance of this commitment, we restrict the use of our Website to persons eighteen (18) years of age or older. We do not knowingly or intentionally collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13).

We will also protect all project information that we stream live through social media in accordance with the terms of our Privacy Policy.
